Bottom Line

Our RIKON 10-324 Bandsaw article shows that it is a good option for anyone interested in a modern bandsaw that is easy to use for ripping and resawing wood and metal alike.

The rip fence and table tilting features allow you to make precise cuts no matter what you’re trying to cut. Thanks to its weight, the product is sturdy and heavy materials can fit on it perfectly without losing balance.

However, we don’t like the fact that it comes with an open stand instead of an enclosed stand. Anyone who knows about bandsaws knows that saws with enclosed stands are often more stable than saws with open stands.

The price is also relatively high. It used to go for $700 in the past but the price kept increasing until it got to the $900 range.

RIKON didn’t become one of the most popular manufacturers of bandsaws by producing sub-par products. Their saws range from affordable, mid-price, and even high end for those who want extra power.

RIKON makes a bandsaw for everyone, professionals and novices alike. Our focus in this piece is the RIKON 10-324 Bandsaw. As you will see in our RIKON 10-324 Model Bandsaw review, it is one of the best bandsaws in the mid-range by RIKON.

This adjustable bandsaw has a great resaw capacity, a solid rip fence, and a 115 volts power outlet that you can use to charge your phone, light, radio, or any other electrical appliance.

The RIKON 10-324 Bandsaw comes with a 1½ horsepower motor and many other great features that we will mention in this review.

RIKON 10-324 Bandsaw Features

111-inches long blade with ball bearing guides

111-inches Long Blade With Ball Bearing Guides

A bandsaw can’t be a saw if it doesn’t have a blade. The width and length of the blade have to be perfect if the bandsaw is to qualify as a good one. For the RIKON 10-324 Bandsaw, the blade is 111-inches long.

This length matches the rest of the body perfectly. The width of the blade is 3/16 inches to ¾ inches. What’s more, the RIKON 10-324 Bandsaw isn’t too picky about the blade it takes.

It can work with universal blades as long as they are 111-inches long with matching width as the original. To boost the durability and increase the lifespan of the blade, there is an upper and lower ball-bearing guide.

Along with the thrust bearing, the ball bearing guide helps reduce friction thus ensuring smooth operation during resawing and ripping.

Two Blade Speed Options of 1,445 and 2,950 ft/min

The speed of the blade during use usually depends on what you intend to achieve and the material you’re cutting. The average speed for cutting wood with a bandsaw is about 1000 ft per minute.

However, some saws can go as 5000 ft per minute. The speed for cutting metal is different and it varies depending on the density of the sheet. Most saws only have a single speed setting for the blade.

So, there is no way to adjust it to match the density of the material you’re trying to cut. The RIKON 10-324 Bandsaw has two blade speed settings. One is for 1,445 feet per minute and the second is for 2,950 feet per minute.

So, you can set the speed of this power tool to meet your needs. We recommend using the lower setting if you’re a beginner because it is safer.

Tall Rip Fence With Extra 6-inches

The RIKON 10-324 Bandsaw has an extra tall iron cast rip fence which also happens to be adjustable. The rip fence comes with extra 6-inches for resawing.

So, whether you’re ripping or resawing, you will get the accuracy and precision you need. Accuracy is required when you want to get a smooth, professional-looking finish.

Resawing involves cutting a wide sheet of metal or wood into small pieces. These pieces are usually used for decorations or finishing furniture.

They must be accurate because there isn’t any room for mistakes, especially when you’re trying to sell the product you’re making.

The RIKON 10-324 Bandsaw has a 13-⅝-inches wide and 13-inches deep cutting capacity. This allows it to cut through thick wood and light metals effectively.

powerful motor and heavy weight

Powerful Motor and Heavy Weight

The RIKON 10-324 Bandsaw comes with a powerful 1½ horsepower motor. This is why it is good for cutting wood and metal alike. All you have to do is place the material on the wide table, set it in place, and cut away.

The RIKON 10-324 Bandsaw weighs about 220 pounds with a dimension of 25 x 30 x 75-inches. The entire case is made of iron so durability is not going to be a problem.

The only thing we don’t like about the structure is the open stand. An enclosed stand would have been better because it makes the bandsaw more stable on the floor when you’re ripping heavy items.

RIKON 10-324 Bandsaw Review  The Verdict

The RIKON 10-324 Bandsaw review you see above shows that it is an elegant, strong, and durable product that can cut through the toughest wood and even metal thanks to the 1½ horsepower motor.

It comes with a 115-volt power outlet which can be useful during emergencies. The rip fence, cutting capacity, and everything else about the bandsaw is commendable.

It is important to note that the RIKON 10-324 Bandsaw would have been much better if it was created with an enclosed stand rather than an open one.

Also, the price is on the high side. On Amazon, the RIKON 10-324 Bandsaw goes for around $940 to $1000.

The product comes with a 5-year warranty card like other products manufactured by RIKON.
